Wie
etliche andere suchte ich auf meinen ersten Reisen nach Indien die ultimative
Wahrheit. Auch wenn ich diese nicht fand, so hinterließen doch die Landschaften
Indiens mit ihren Farben und die Menschen Indiens mit ihrer Spiritualität
einen bleibenden Eindruck. Deshalb lernte ich etwas Hindi und vertiefte
mich in die hinduistische Religion. So entstand u.a. auch dieses Zusammenspiel
zwischen Auszügen aus den Veden mit ihrer poetischen Sprache und Bildern
aus dem indischen Alltag. Sie sind ein Ausschnitt aus Begebenheiten, die
mich über 30 Jahre lang auf meinen Reisen begleiteten. |

Like
many other people on my first journeys to India I was in search of the ultimate truth.
Though I didn't find it the landscapes of India with its colours and the
people of India with its spirituality bequeathed enduring impressions.
Therefrom I learned Hindi and delved into the Hindu religion. As a result
from this emerged the interaction from abridgments of the vedas with its
poetic language and pictures from the Indian daily routine. They are an
assortment of situations that accompanied me over 30 years on my journeys.

Comme
beaucoup d'autres j'ai cherché ma voie aux cours de mes premiers voyages
aux Indes. Même si je ne l'ai pas vraiment trouvé, l'Inde et sa spiritualité
m'ont profondément marqué. C'est pourquoi j'ai appris le Hindi et me suis
intéressé aux Ecrits Sacrés de l'Hindouisme. C'est ainsi qu'est né ce
projet mariant les textes des Livres, au langage si poétique, avec des
tableaux de la vie quotidienne du pays. C'est un reflet de rencontres
qui m'ont accompagnés pendant 30 années. |
